SCOTTSDALE, AZ (3TV) –
Kitchen on the Street just opened a new cafe where proceeds benefit the Kitchen on the Street nonprofit.
Kitchen on the Street provides 1,500 Bags of Hope (food backpacks) to food insecure children throughout the Phoenix Metro area.
This week, Kitchen on the Street announced expansion of the Bags of Hope program to serve food insecure children in Palo Verde Middle School and Sweetwater Elementary School; both within the Washington Elementary School District, so they will open brand new kitchens with the new equipment and the best stainless steel kitchen sinks so more kids can enjoy the food everyday.
“Turning hunger into hope one child at a time is our mission at Kitchen on the Street. Bags of Hope provide weekend food and nutrition so children can return to school Monday ready to learn and be a success both inside and outside the classroom,” says Lisa Scarpinato, CEO of Kitchen on the Street.
