About Us
Kitchen on the Street began out of a passion for helping those who cannot help themselves.  Many years of volunteering in local shelters showed that the most vulnerable never make it to a shelter. Kitchen on the Street combats hunger by taking help and hope to children and families in crisis. Through our partnerships with local schools, we are turning hunger into hope... one child at a time!

The Board
The Board of Directors believe all people are worthy of love.  The founders of KOS, Inc. believe they have been blessed and, in turn, wish to bless others.  We invite you to learn more about us and welcome your efforts and donations in distributing food to children and families in need.

Taylor Joyner's community involvement began at a young age, participating in outreaches to Native Americans on reservations around Arizona. She has had the pleasure of performing in dramas, serving food, performing clean up operations and distributing Christmas gifts to children in need. Taylor has worked vigorously serving meals at homeless shelters and packing food boxes at food banks. Taylor is an honorary junior board member dedicated to involving the youth of Arizona in the fight against hunger.

Cheryl Woodring is an Arizona native and has been a resident of Peoria, Chandler, Mesa and Phoenix.  She has a heart for serving those in her community, especially children.  She served as a children's choir assistant director at Scottsdale Bible Church, has participated in outreach missions in Phoenix and the surrounding areas and as far away as Romania. She has prepared and served meals to children through Neighborhood Ministries. For the past three years she has been assisting the President of the Board for the Foundation for Blind Children in organizing and implementing one of the largest fund-raising events in the state.

Lisa Scarpinato's community involvement includes volunteer work at homeless shelters and food banks, as well as churches and outreach programs locally and abroad, to include Mexico. Throughout her 36 year residency in Arizona, she has partnered with various non profit organizations to improve conditions for impoverished and homeless people. She has dedicated much of her time to working with children.  Attending grade school and high school in the valley, she feels a great sense of urgency to improve the lives of impoverished children in Arizona. Lisa is a recipient of the POINTS OF LIGHT AWARD in recognition of her community service and involvement in co-founding Kitchen on the Street, Inc.

Rhonda Cagle
